Greater Mohali Area Development Authority

Mohali is a newly established city adjacent to Chandigarh in Punjab (India). The city know also known as ajitgarh as it is officially named after the eldest son of Guru Gobind Singh, Sahibzada Ajit Singh. Mohali has attracted people as a place where the ultra modern infrastructure is getting ready.

GMADA, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority is the one who is responsible for the development of this Greater Mohali area. The objective of GMADA is to develop Mohali as a World City where the grass is greener, the roads are wider, the air is clean and where proactive and responsive governance is the norm. GMADA was made a separate branch out of PUDA, Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority which was established in July 1995 for the development of balanced urban growth in the State of Punjab.

Also the authority has various housing schemes available Aerocity, Ecocity and various sectors plots under various property types like plots, booths and provisional scheme. The list of approved colonies falling under GMADA can be downloaded in .pdf format online from the official website of the authority. This list contains nearly all the approved colonies in Mohali and areas like Ludhiana, Patiala and others.

GMADA Online

For various properties, GMADA invites application from the public and then the authority makes the allotment on the basis of a lucky draw which is being held in presence of a panel of judges. This draw is held every year for various property types.

In 2011, many applications were accepted for 200 both sites in Sector 77, S.A.S. Nager and also the draw results of 76-80 were declared on 2 july 2011. Also the list of successful applicants for Aerocity is available on the official website of the authority along with the list of rejected applicants.
