Rajasthan Housing Board
|Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) was a result of Rajasthan Housing Board Act No – 4 of year 1970, which aimed at the establishment of a statutory body for the solutions of housing problems in the state. The headquarters of the board is situated at Jaipur with zonal offices at Jodhpur, Alwar, Kota, Udaipur and Bikaner. Over the last 41 years, RHB has been active in developing houses for all sections of the community. So far, it has allotted more 2 lakhs houses under different categories in 63 cities of the state.
More than half of the houses constructed by RHB are aimed at people with the lowest income. Here are the statistical details:
The housing projects developed by the board are complete with all necessary amenities, such as road, water, electricity, sewer, street light, parks, schools, hospitals, community center and so on. The state government has no financial provisions for RHB, which carries out its developmental activities on resources generated through loans from financial institutions, debentures, and allocations under self-financing schemes.
Rajasthan Housing Board Projects
Here are details of some of the residential projects successfully undertaken by Rajasthan Housing Board:
1. Indira Gandhi Nagar Scheme in Jagatpura, Jaipur.
2. Dwarkapuri Multi-storey Housing Scheme in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Kota.
3. Pratap Nagar, Sanganer, Jaipur – Several projects have been developed in Pratap Nagar. Some of these include Raj Angan, Pratap Enclave Scheme, Pratap Apartment, Mewar Apartment, Chinab Apartment, RHB – Krishna Apartment, RHB – Alaknanda Apartment, and RHB – Ravi Apartment.
|4. Mansarovar, Jaipur – RHB is working on projects like Ramkrishna Apartment, Patel Marg, and Kaveri Apartment in the Mansarovar area of Jaipur.|
5.Chaupasani, Jodhpur – Marwar Apartment and Garden Apartment.
6. Bhiwadi, Alwar – Aravali Apartment
To participate in a housing project being developed by RHB, one needs to get registered first. Any Indian is eligible to complete the registration process by depositing the appropriate amount. The allotments of the completed houses are made in accordance with the Disposal of Property Regulation, 1970, and Revised Procedure for Registration and Allotment of House, 1981.
A priority list is prepared taking into account the applicants’ registration year, income category, payment option and several other factors. A computer generated pseudo random system, also known as lottery system, is also utilized during the process.
Upon allotment of the house, the homeowner must pay the monthly installments including the applicable interests according to their income category. Here are the details of installment period and current interest rates for different income groups.
